Aging & Addication: Implications for Patients, Caregivers, and Clinicians

As Baby Boomers move into retirement, substance abuse and addiction in older adults is increasing at alarming rates. Physical- and mental-health related comorbidities are common in the older adult population, and these conditions contribute to confusion in the clinical presentation. This webinar will explore the issues of substance abuse and treatment as it relates to older adults.Participants in this web seminar will be exposed to trends in aging, substance use disorders and healthcare; substance use disorders and related comorbidities in older adults; and the unique treatment needs of older adults and strategies for improved treatment outcomes.
