The National Council on Aging Center for Benefits Access is hosting a webinar to review how to help clients transition from modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) Medicaid to Medicare. Presenter Emily Balkan, Medicare Rights Center, will review: The difference between MAGI and traditional Medicaid; what happens when an individual with MAGI Medicaid becomes eligible for Medicare and when their MAGI Medicaid ends; and how counselors can assist clients with a smooth transition, including walking them through the step-by-step enrollment/disenrollment process, and assessing their ongoing eligibility for benefits that can help pay for their health coverage.
