Training and Technical Assistance Project Coordinator

SUMMARY

This grant-funded position is responsible for the provision of high-quality applied research; technical assistance (internal and external); development and delivery of training; project support in a variety of forms; and implementation of a variety of Easterseals Project Action Consulting (ESPAC) and National Aging & Disability Transportation Center (NADTC) projects and activities including webinars, online courses, virtual and in-person training events and presentations; grant management; writing information briefs or white papers; participating in the ongoing operations of Easterseals Transportation Group projects; and providing expertise to support these projects. This includes supporting the activities of ESPAC and NADTC staff, Easterseals Transportation Group team members, as well as subcontractor organizations and their staff. The position is also responsible for the provision of high-quality project tracking and oversight. The Training and Technical Assistance Project Coordinator will do project-related research and development of original training programs and materials and take on special projects as assigned by senior team members.  This position will provide in-depth, online technical support via platforms such as Zoom, TEAMS, Go to Webinar,  and others; as well as developing excellent proficiency in applications such as Jamboard, Airtable, Annotate, Poll Everywhere, Survey Monkey, and other like programs, to support members of the Easterseals Transportation Group.  (Technical Assistance, Training and Online Technical Support – 60%)

The Training and Technical Assistance Project Coordinator will also be responsible for project management support activities for the Easterseals Transportation Group.  These duties will include:  drafting Letters of Agreement and Contracts; tracking projects in SharePoint; training materials organization and dissemination; setting up online course registration; tracking of certification program participants; issuing certificates for courses and classes completed; monitoring ESPAC email; implementing internal and external correspondence including social media posts for the programs; meeting and training coordination and set-up; and providing project assistance and operational support. (Project Management Support – 40%)

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Develops and maintains personal knowledge and expertise regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), accessible transportation, public transportation, human service transportation, transportation coordination, and inclusionary practices.  Must attain ADA Certification within one year of employment.

 

Develops and maintains personal knowledge and expertise regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in relation to written communication (508 compliance), presentations, videos and virtual tools.

 

Responsible for all aspects of production and delivery of ESPAC and NADTC webinars, online courses, virtual training events and presentations, including ensuring accessibility for people who need accommodations.

 

Assists with the production and is responsible for the monitoring, and oversight of online courses, webinars and events, including advertising of events; registration; posting of resources, tracking attendance; and issuing certificates to participants (as applicable) for ESPAC and NADTC virtual and in-person training and events.
 

Tracks and reports internal and external project activities across ESPAC and NADTC.

 

Conducts project background material investigations to produce, plan and implement transportation and mobility projects and services.

 

Tracks ESPAC certification programs by monitoring credits and awarding certificates in conjunction with the certifying body.

 

Develops, implements, and evaluates processes (including instruments and databases such as Salesforce) to document the type, frequency and outcomes of training provided and technical assistance activities; compiles and analyzes needed data; and provides verbal and written recommendations for program improvements. 

 

Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for new products and services.

 

Maintains the tracking and filing system for letters of agreement, contracts, vendors, FTA required documentation, and other important organizational documents in SharePoint.

 

Assist with the development of marketing campaigns for webinars, courses, virtual training events and more.

 

Assist with outreach to new clients, potential partners, community grantees, inter-organizational collaboration partners, and others.

 

Understands and endorses the mission and values of Easterseals.

 

Contributes to an organizational culture of innovation and exemplary performance.

 

Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Highly proficient in:

  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive; Access or equivalent database experience);

  • Microsoft Project or similar project management technology application;

  • Google Docs;

  • SharePoint or file management system

  • Learning Management Systems;

  • Zoom or equivalent web conferencing platform management; and

  • Customer Relations Management software (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Other Skills (not required, but plus) Video and audio production and editing; Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

  • Must maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with affiliates, consultants, vendors, consumers, and colleagues

  • Be forward-looking for new and innovative ways for the provision of training and technical assistance

  • Willingness to explore and learn new technologies and platforms to meet our objectives

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and specific legislation and regulations governing the provision of accessible transportation service, coordinated transportation systems, and mobility management

  • Knowledge and understanding of public, private and human service transportation and coordinated transportation planning

  • Knowledge of or experience in the field of travel training, mobility management, or ADA complementary paratransit eligibility and operations

  • Ability to provide technical assistance and training at a national level using webinars, teleconferences, and online courses

  • Ability to facilitate and coach others, including external partners who may be part of a project team, to use the technology tools to conduct training online

  • Capacity necessary to make immediate adjustments in technical assistance delivery at meetings and presentations, as dictated by the needs of the audience

  • Ability to define problem areas, analyze variables and design well-developed solutions effectively addressing situations as they arise

  • Ability to travel

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology, business, communications, marketing, administration, or related field preferred. Business experience in a transportation-related career field may be considered in lieu of a degree.   

  • A minimum of 5 years of business or related experience

  • Knowledge and experience in public transit, human services transportation and/or coordinated transportation systems or mobility management preferred.

  • Experience with state departments of transportation or transportation associations is a plus.
