Medicaid Leadership Institute Applications Open
Article Publication Date
Summary
The Center for Health Care Strategies is accepting applications for the Medicaid Leadership Institute (MLI). Since its inception, MLI has supported 89 directors across 49 Medicaid agencies. The upcoming 2027 cohort will mark the program’s 16th class, underscoring MLI’s long-term impact in developing the executive skills and strategic perspective needed to guide Medicaid programs across the country.
Medicaid directors who are competitively selected for MLI participate in a 10-month fellowship designed to strengthen individual leadership and communication skills, deepen substantive knowledge, and enhance strategic thinking and problem-solving capacity. The program also offers opportunities for fellows to support their senior staff in individual and team development. Fellows apply what they learn through a structured curriculum and a hands-on leadership project completed during the fellowship.
CHCS is now accepting applications for the 2027 cohort of this professional development program for Medicaid directors. Applications are due June 30.
