The ARCH National Respite Network and Resource Center has released a new resource exploring best-practice respite strategies.
In 2019, ARCH launched an Innovative and Exemplary Respite Services Initiative to identify, describe, honor, and promote best practices. Over the last seven years, ARCH has recognized 47 respite organizations for their innovative services.
Based on lessons learned from the Initiative, this resource explores what best-practice respite means to program providers and caregivers, and outlines ways respite programs can embed best practices in their day-to-day work to meet best practices goals. The report also includes recommendations for best practice implementation for individual respite programs and for respite systems.
