First Meeting of President Biden’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities

On June 2, 2022 20 citizen members were sworn in as members of the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities (PCPID). The PCPID is now preparing for it's first public committee meeting on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to to 4:00 p.m. ET. Comments and suggestions from people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are strongly encouraged. Comments received by June 30, 2022 will be shared with the PCPID at the July meeting.

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is observed every March to hightlight diversity, raise awareness about inclusion, and strengthen communities. The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) has announced the theme for March 2022 as "Worlds Imagined," to emphasize intersectionality and encourage exploration and collaboration among the community.

MLTSS for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities: Strategies for Success

This report is the second in a series of publications from the MLTSS Institute. There are unique challenges in implementing a managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The report provides context on the intersection of program design and participant advocacy and outlines successful strategies for both states and health plans. It also highlights promising practices from MLTSS programs delivering I/DD services.

Provider Profiles and Performance Reports

The following is a list of agencies that are reviewed by New York's OPWDD's Division of Quality Improvement (DQI). In the reports section, each agency will have a listing of the services it provides. However, performance information will only be available for those agencies that provide Medicaid Service Coordination services, and/or agencies whose certified programs have had a Safety and Physical Plant Review completed since October 2014.
