The purpose of this document is to assist government program agencies who wish to contract with Vendor F/EAs who have separate FEINs to file certain federal tax forms for individuals they act as agent for.

This presentation was given on a technical assistance call to Cash & Counseling grantees on July 11, 2006. The presentation highlights the Modified Participant Experience Survey as an option for quality management.

The West Virginia Bureau of Senior Services developed this communications plan for their Cash & Counseling project. The plan includes information on an internal and external scans, messaging, communications activities, and a timeline.

The Consumer Directed Attendant Support Program developed this resource for participants. The manual contains ideas, approaches, and suggestions for consumers as they hire, train, and supervise attendants. Training includes budgeting, employer issues, and communications skills.

The Vision Statement fully describes the essential components of the Cash & Counseling model. This vision evolved from a tested model which yielded very positive results. Cash & Counseling seeks to create a new model through the inclusion of principles that go beyond what is already possible.

This manual was developed for the IndependentChoices program. It features detailed program information on many topics including: eligibility, participant rights, fiscal agents, cash expenditure plans, appeals and personal assistants.

On January 1, 2009, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 2008 went into effect, making some major changes to the way the definition of disability has been interpreted in the past. The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) has released this document to outline these changes clearly and thoroughly. This includes the modified definition of disability, the definition of reasonable accommodation, a listing of publications to help employers understand reasonable accommodation and practical tips.

The Alzheimer's Association, through its Campaign for Quality Care, recently released Dementia Care Practice Recommendations for Professionals Working in a Home Setting. This report is Phase 4 of the Campaign and it covers the topics covered in Phases 1-3. The evidence-based recommendations in Phases 1-3 covered good dementia care, food and fluid consumption, pain management, social engagement, wandering, falls, physical restraints, and end-of-life-care practices and issues.
