Behind the Drug Discounts: 340B, Medicare Negotiation, and Transparency

Health Affairs will hold a webinar discussing Medicare drug pricing, 340B transparency gaps, duplicate discounts, and evolving policies.

The 340B Program requires ceiling prices on outpatient drugs to eligible safety-net health care providers, while the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program provides savings to Medicare beneficiaries on certain high-expenditure drugs. These programs are generally viewed as distinct, yet there are important policy considerations about their interaction as negotiations for the 2028 cycle must be completed by September 30, 2026. This webinar will help participants understand the interaction between these programs and opportunities to improve transparency challenges.

Date: Thursday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m.
