Beyond the Job Description: Customized Employment in Action

Each October, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) recognizes the valuable contributions, skills, and talents that people with disabilities bring to America’s workforce. In recognition of this year’s NDEAM theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” ACL’s Disability Employment Technical Assistance Center (DETAC) will hold a webinar highlighting how customized employment can connect job seekers’ strengths with business needs.

This webinar will share practical techniques for creating customized jobs that work for job seekers and employers. Participants will learn about strategies that can improve employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities and businesses, and speakers will discuss about employers’ experiences with customized employment, including what worked and its value to their organizations.
