Care and Work: Improving the Livelihoods of Family Caregivers and Care Workers

The John A. Hartford Foundation, in collaboration with The CARE Fund, will hold a webinar highlighting the support needed by family caregivers in the workforce, as well as the need to improve the quality of paid caregiver jobs.

The majority of family caregivers have jobs outside the home, and public and corporate policies could be reshaped to ensure family members caring for older and disabled loved ones can live dignified lives with economic security. Meanwhile, professional caregivers also struggle to make ends meet, facing low wages and meager benefits. This webinar will discuss how to better support both family and paid caregivers.

Speakers:

  • Inimai Chettiar, A Better Balance
  • Jason Resendez, National Alliance for Caregiving
  • Haeyoung Yoon, National Domestic Workers Alliance
  • Anna Wadia, The CARE Fund
  • Rani E. Snyder, The John A. Hartford Foundation

Date: Thursday, June 18, at 3:00 p.m.
