Rural Health Transformation and Age‑Friendly Care

Health Affairs will hold a webinar discussing age-friendly care in the context of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

The RHTP provides a total of $50 billion over five years for state programs to improve care in rural communities. As rural communities tend to have higher concentrations of older adults, RHTP has the potential to positively impact health and health care for older populations. This webinar will highlight how the program is taking shape, how some states are planning to use the federal funding to strengthen care and systems for older adults, and what to expect next from the rollout of the program.

Speakers:

  • Kate Sapra, Deputy Director, CMS Office of Rural Health Transformation
  • Katherine Ornstein (moderator), Professor and Director, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and Center for Equity in Aging

Date: Monday, June 8, at 2:00 p.m.
