Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Basics

Justice in Aging will hold a webinar discussing Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is an important benefit for low-income older adults or people with disabilities who cannot work enough to meet their basic needs, but eligibility requirements and rules are complicated and confusing. This webinar will explain the benefits SSI provides, how SSI differs from other Social Security benefits, the eligibility requirements for the program, and strategies to prevent individuals from having their benefits incorrectly reduced or terminated.

Speakers:

  • Kate Lang, Director of Federal Income Security, Justice in Aging
  • Trinh Phan, Director of State Income Security, Justice in Aging

Date: Wednesday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m.
