Webinar with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS): Interim Final Rule on Medicaid Community Engagement Requirements

The National Academy for State Health Policy will hold a webinar in partnership with the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) to explain the Interim Final Rule on Medicaid Community Engagement Requirements published on June 1.

Under new requirements, certain adult Medicaid applicants and beneficiaries must, as a condition of Medicaid eligibility, meet an 80 hour per month work requirement through employment, education, work programs, or community service. The Interim Final Rule establishes the standards states must use to implement the work requirement, including expectations for eligibility determinations, exemptions, verification, and state reporting requirements. During this webinar, staff from CMCS will discuss the new requirements and answer audience questions.

Speakers:

  • Caprice Knapp, Principal Deputy of CMCS
  • Jessica Stephens, Acting Director for the CMCS Children and Adults Health Programs Group
  • Additional CMCS staff

Date: Wednesday, July 22, at 12:30 p.m.
