The National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center's Webinar: Reaching Socially Isolated People Living with Dementia

Join NADRC’s webinar to discuss experimental outreach and engagement techniques and programs for individuals living with dementia, as well as provide a description of a collaborative care coordination model used in Virginia to help those in this community. Presenters Dr. Carol Manning and Michael Splaine will focus on the challenges experienced by people living alone with dementia and challenges related to reaching them.

Participants will be able to:

  • Name at least one of three validated loneliness assessment scales and explain their utility.

  • List three causes of social isolation in persons with dementia.

  • Define socially isolated versus living alone.

  • Identify two tasks of dementia Care Coordinators.
