Funding the Future of Rural Care: A Practical Blueprint for Telehealth Growth and Sustainability

Billions in new federal funds are being directed toward modernizing rural healthcare through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). For rural and critical access hospitals, this represents a pivotal opportunity to strengthen care delivery infrastructure, expand virtual access, and build lasting sustainability.

This session brings together clinical, operational, and funding experts to help rural leaders prepare for and capitalize on upcoming funding opportunities tied to telehealth and workforce innovation. Presenters will share guidance on aligning people, process, and technology to meet RHTP priorities, from strengthening the rural workforce to creating sustainable access points for care.

Participants will learn how to:
•    Identify where telehealth fits within current RHTP funding priorities and how it supports workforce resilience.
•    Evaluate proven models that reduce transfers, improve margins, and strengthen local care capacity.
•    Build readiness by connecting with the right state and federal resources, partners, and strategies for long-term success.
