The Center for Advancing Family Caregiver Financial and Workplace Security (CACFWS) has released a request for proposals to fund pilot projects focused on improving workplace support for family caregivers in select Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs).
Across the country, millions of employees are balancing paid work with unpaid caregiving responsibilities, leading to financial, emotional, and physical strain, as well as measurable workplace impacts. The CACFWS is seeking applications from AAAs to implement small-scale, locally driven pilot projects with employers in order to:
•    Demonstrate proof of concept for workplace caregiver support
•    Build relationships with the business community
•    Lay the groundwork for sustained employer partnerships
Selected AAAs will receive up to $10,000 and be expected to complete the pilot project between February and November 2026. Applications will be reviewed for feasibility, potential for impact, innovation, and alignment and must include letters of commitment from two partners.
Applications are due Friday, November 14, at 8:00 p.m. Selected applicants will be notified on Monday, December 1.
